Borisov A. V., Rozenblat G. M. Abstract. The article develops models of exoselet links and a human musculoskeletal system of variable length, which can be applied to the creation of an anthropomorphic robot. The novelty of this study lies in the fact that it is the first comprehensive study of the mechanics of the musculoskeletal system of a person, an exoskeleton designed to create a man-machine system jointly functioning and modeling a person in the exoskeleton. On the basis of the existing models of exoskeletons and studying the properties of the endoskeleton, problems that prevent comfortable operation of exoskeletons were discovered for the first time: the absence of changes in the length of the links when walking and the lack of synchronization when a person moves in the exoskeleton. For the first time, the concept of a link of variable length is introduced within the framework of theoretical mechanics, different from the models of the theory of elasticity. Models of links of variable length are proposed for modeling the mechanical properties of the human musculoskeletal system and the creation of an exoskeleton or an anthropomorphic robot. In the developed model, changing the link length is an additional control in the mechanism along with changing the angles between the links, which is new in modeling anthropomorphic systems and distinguishes this work from the existing ones. To implement the models under consideration with a large number of links, effective high-speed methods have been developed for constructing differential equations of motion, which is especially needed for three-dimensional models. A numerical example of exoskeleton control on a plane and in space has been carried out.
